FOR TEENS

Strong Teens

Ages 11-16

Kick-start your teen's love of fitness with this introductory strength & conditioning course. Teens will be introduced to the Y's wellness center and learn how to use the equipment while learning the fundamentals of strength training. A trainer will demonstrate proper form, stretching and recovery techniques, and discuss healthy living principles.

Learn 2 Lift

Ages 14+ or have completed Strong Teens

This program helps teens improve their confidence in the weight room while taking their strength training game to the next level. Participants will be introduce to free weights, cable machines, and plate-loaded equipment while learning the importance of good form and safe lifting to maximize each lift and repetition. Plus, our trainers will help teens create a customized training plan to meet their personal goals.

FOR ADULTS

Intro to Olympic Weightlifting

Ages 16+

This class is designed to guide beginning lifters to a novice level of proficiency. Lifters will start with a PVC pipe as they work on proper form, then gradually transition to heavier weights while building strength and stamina. Along the way, participants will learn to engage their core and other areas of the body, ensuring they lift safely, effectively, and with confidence.

Women on Weights

Adults 18+

Step into the weight room with confidence. Taught by nationally accredited female trainers, this program is designed to help women feel strong, capable, and empowered with weight lifting. Each session will focus on proper technique, core movement patterns, and building a strong foundation- physically and mentally.

FOR ADULTS 55+

ForeverWell Strength

Ages 55+

Stay strong, mobile, and active with light weights in this fun, music-filled class. Participants can stand or sit while moving through a variety of exercises with hand-held weights and resistance bands. This class will increase muscular strength, range of movement, and maintain activities for daily living skills.

Adults 55+

The same great Women on Weights experience, designed specifically for women 55 and older. Taught by nationally accredited female trainers, this program is designed to help women feel strong, capable, and empowered with weight lifting. Each session will focus on proper technique, body composition, and balance & mobility in a supportive environment that will help you build confidence in the weight room.
