Most classes are run on a drop-in basis with no reservation required. Some classes require a reservation due to equipment needs. Please see our program guide for full class details including reservations, age requirements, and family friendly classes. 

Group Exercise is generally appropriate for members ages high school age and older. Please see the FULL list of youth guidelines for participating in group exercise classes.

AGING BACKWARDS  RESERVE MY SPOT

This gentle full body workout increases mobility, flexibility, and improves balance. This class will help you feel healthy and young.

BARRE

A hybrid workout class inspired by ballet, yoga, Pilates, and strength training. A low impact, muscular endurance workout that focuses on high repetitions and small, isometric movements. No ballet experience required. 

BODYPUMP  RESERVE MY SPOT

This barbell workout is for anyone looking to build muscle strength and endurance. Using light to moderate weights and high repetitions set to motivating music. Must be 16+ to participate. A 30-minute class that strengthens everything from your shoulders to your hips to make you stronger, quicker, and faster in all you do. In addition, strengthening your core can reduce back pain and give you great looking abs! It’s quick, challenging and like nothing else! 

DEFEND TOGETHER  LEARN MORE

A gripping hour that burns a ton of calories, builds total body strength, and challenges your reflexes. Tap into the newest mixed martial arts movements done at a rapid-fire pace to smash your cardio fitness. This workout combines cutting-edge moves with thrilling music.

DRUMS ALIVE

Using rhythm as the source of inspiration to discover a new group of fitness experiences, Drums Alive combines the benefits of a traditional physical fitness program with the brain affected benefits of music and rhythm. This program fosters a healthy balance physically, mentally, and socially! Youth 10-13 years old are welcome to participate with a parent/guardian. 

DRUMS ALIVE GOLDEN BEATS

This class uses drum sticks with a stability ball and can be done seated or standing. Combine drumming and dancing for a fun and entertaining workout! The rhythmical patterns of the drum increases synchronization of brain wave activity, which in turn provides feelings of euphoria, improved mental awareness, and self-acceptance. Youth 10-13 years old are welcome to participate with a parent/guardian.

FIT CAMP 

This intense conditioning class alternates between cardiovascular and strength exercises. Come ready for a combination of floor aerobics, squats, lunges, pushups, ab work, and more!

GROUP BLAST  LEARN MORE

60 minutes of cardio training that uses the STEP in highly effective, athletic ways. It will get your heart pounding and sweat pouring as you improve your fitness, agility, coordination and strength with exciting music and group energy. Open to those high school age and older.

GROUP CENTERGY

Group Centergy is an invigorating 60-minute mind-body workout. It incorporates yoga and Pilates fundamentals with athletic training for strength, balance, mobility and flexibility. Emotive music drives the experience as you move and sweat through this full-body movement journey.

GROUP CYCLING  RESERVE MY SPOT  GET THE APP

A non-impact journey on specially designed stationary bikes, allowing participants to work at their own pace while being coached by top-notch instructors. The bikes at 20th Ave have technology built into the console, allowing riders to use various metrics to crush goals. The Downtown Y uses Intelligent Cycling, a virtual ride system, to keep you motivated and entertained. Download the Intelligent Cycling app prior to class to get the most out of your ride, but it is not required to get a great workout. Individuals new to cycling are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes prior to class starting. Youth 10-13 years old are welcome to participate with a parent/guardian, if the bike is fitted by the instructor and is safe for them to use. Popular class! GROUP GROOVE LEARN MORE

A sizzling cardio experience that will make you sweat with a smile. During this energizing hour of dance fitness, you'll experience a fusion of club, hip-hop, and Latin dance styles set to the hottest current hits and the best dance songs ever produced! IF YOU CAN MOVE, YOU CAN GROOVE! Youth 10-13 years old are welcome to participate with a parent/guardian.

H.I.I.T.

Challenge both your cardiovascular and muscular systems with this High Intensity Interval Training class. H.I.I.T. incorporates strength and endurance exercises with short bursts of cardio for a complete workout that will leave you drenched. 

HIP HOP 

Hip Hop is a fun, energy-filled cardio fitness dance class done to hip-hop and pop music. All levels are welcome! No dance experience required. Youth 10-13 years old are welcome to participate with a parent/guardian.

MUSCLE CONDITIONING 

This strength conditioning and toning class is a great compliment to anyone's cardiovascular routine. Improve total body muscular strength using resistance tubing, bands, weights, body bars, and more. A class suited to both the beginner and the advanced. Open to those high school age and older.

PILATES 

A mindful approach to strengthening the core through a series of movements done on the mat and floor. By using awareness of muscle activation and body control, Pilates can improve posture, flexibility, mobility, balance, and core strength. Youth 10-13 years old are welcome to participate with a parent/guardian.

PILATES FOAM ROLLER 

A mindful approach to strengthening the core through a series of movements done on the mat and floor. By using awareness of muscle activation and body control, Pilates can improve posture, flexibility, mobility, balance, and core strength. Foam Rollers and tennis balls are great tools to help you relax and maintain flexible and pain-free muscles. Participants will learn how to safely and effectively target all the major muscle groups and discover techniques for targeting trouble areas. Open to those high school age and older.

TABATA 

Tabata is an interval training cycle of 20 seconds of maximum intensity exercise, followed by 10 seconds of rest, repeated without pause eight times for a total of four minutes. An intense and challenging form of interval training, you'll get your heart rate going and complete a hardcore workout with this fun and exhilarating class!

TAI CHI 

Tai Chi is a non-competitive, self-paces system of gentle physical exercises and stretching. In Tai Chi, you perform a series of postures or movements in a slow, graceful manner, each posture flowing into the next without pause. Anyone, regardless of age or physical ability can practice Tai Chi. This class teaches breathing coordinated with movement to enhance the development of inner energy and peace of mind.

TRX TABATA  RESERVE MY SPOT

Take your TRX training to the next level in this Tabata Interval class. TRX/KICKBOX COMBO

WINNECONNE FITNESS CLASSES LEARN MORE REGISTER

Experience Oshkosh YMCA classes in Winneconne! Located at St. Mary's church, enjoy a well-rounded cardio and strength workout in these fun and challenging classes. Equipment is provided. Open to anyone high school age or older. *Please note that these classes are not free to Y members. Participants pay a monthly fee for unlimited classes, or a drop-in fee per class.*  

YOGA 

For all fitness levels. Yoga is a system of static and moving exercises that focus on breath to increase flexibility, balance, and strength, as well as calm and focus the mind. Props are available so all fitness levels can work at their own capacity. Youth 10-13 years old are welcome to participate with a parent/guardian.

Try these variations of Yoga classes at the Y:

Flow Yoga: Students ride the breath from one posture to the next, creating a continuous and flowing experience. Flow yoga is both a great place to start and continue challenging your body through poses. Youth 10-13 years old are welcome to participate with a parent/guardian.

Heated Power Yoga: An energetic, full body strength and balance focused class. Designed to increase your heart rate and help you find the calm within the challenge. The radiant heat panels will be on, creating a cozy atmosphere. The room temperature will be between 75-80 degrees. Youth 10-13 years old are welcome to participate with a parent/guardian.

Power Yoga: An energetic, full body strength and balance focused class. Designed to increase your heart rate and help you find the calm within the challenge. Youth 10-13 years old are welcome to participate with a parent/guardian.

Pose Studies: Learn how to do individual yoga postures. In this class, each posture will be explored in depth so that you leave with a complete and practical understanding of each pose that you can apply to all yoga classes and activities of daily living.

Slow Flow Yoga: Students ride the breath through a series of poses and refine each pose before moving on the the next one. Youth 10-13 years old are welcome to participate with a parent/guardian.

Strength Yoga: A dynamic and vigorous flowing form of yoga that uses light weights and repetition to intensify each yoga pose. You'll build muscle, boost your metabolism, and get a whole-body workout. Open to those high school age and older.

Yin Yoga: A slow, meditative style of yoga that holds poses for an extended period of time, allowing you to stretch deeply and focus on your breath and thought patterns. Yin focuses on the ligaments, tendons, and fascia found in longer holds. Youth 10-13 years old are welcome to participate with a parent/guardian.

Youth Yoga: A fun and interactive yoga class for kids 6-12 years old. Parents are welcome to be in the room but are not required or expected to participate. 

ZUMBA 

Ditch the workout and join the party! Zumba combines high energy and motivating music with unique moves that strengthen and stretch your whole body. Youth 10-13 years old are welcome to participate with a parent/guardian.
