ADAPTED AQUATICS
Led by students from UW-Oshkosh and Ripon College, this program is for individuals with physical and cognitive disabilities. The goal of this program is to provide persons with all levels of abilities an opportunity to learn new things or improve existing aquatic skills. For program dates & times, please see the schedules page.
ACCOMMODATING OUR SWIMMERS
- Adapted Aquatics is wheelchair accessible
- During the session, swimmers will have use of the entire aquatic facility
- The session includes playing with stimulating water toys that are appropriate for each age/ability level
- The instructor ratio is between 1:1 - 1:3, depending on the nature of each participant's ability level
Adapted aquatics is for children and adults. Children must be 3 or older to participate.
Adapted Aquatics is currently offered at our Downtown location. Visit our Locations page for directions to the Downtown Y.
We are here to accommodate all swimmers and provide them with a fun, safe experience. There is no need to accompany your swimmer in the pool, and we invite parents to watch their swimmers splash around and have fun during the session.
