YANGJIA MICHUAN KUNLUN SWORD WORKSHOP
Strengthen your body. Center your mind. Honor tradition.
Discover the ancient art of the Kunlun Taiji Sword, a powerful and graceful form rooted in 5,000-year-old Taoist principles of Yin and Yang. This rare lineage of Yangjia Michuan Taijiquan (YMT) includes the original Kunlun sword form passed down to Master Wang Yen-nien and now offered through this unique series of workshops. This series is based on The Kunlun Taiji Sword by Herve Marest. Each session covers a different Duan (section), drawn from the Eight Ancient Sword Cuts.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: SON NGUYEN has practiced YMT for over 20 years and has taught for more than 15. He studies under Sifu Don Coleman of the Madison Daoguan and has trained with notable sword instructors including Charlie Adamec, Jim Carlson, and Scott Rodell.
FEE: Full series (4 classes): $175
Single class: $50
RECOMMENDED: Prior experience with any YMT form or the 8 sword cuts
EQUIPMENT / ATTIRE: Tai Chi practice swords are most often wooden swords of a specific design. If you do not already have one, please contact Margie for ordering, allowing time prior to the first workshop for delivery.
