The Oshkosh Y is hosting the Oshkosh Repair Cafe to offer FREE repairs to a variety of household items! This event is 100% free and open to the entire community. You do not need to be a Y member to attend.
Bring in your:
- Household appliances
- Computers
- Electronics
- Sewing & mending
- Furniture
- Jewelry & watches
- Bicycles & small engines
Limit of 3 items per person. No firearms or weapons. Parent or guardian required for participants under 18. In order to best serve all attendees, the welcome desk will close at 4pm.
More about this event from the Repair Cafe team: "The goal of our Repair Cafe is to bring together volunteer fixers who have the knowledge and experience to fix or repair individuals' items. Participants who bring in items in need of repair can sit across from the fixer as they show and teach them how the repair is made. There is no charge whatsoever for the repair of an item.
We want to bring together our community while also helping to reduce items sent to the landfill. It saves our neighbors the cost of replacing the item and brings together our community through collective action."
