Indoor Ice Arena

Our indoor ice area in the first, professional-size (200 feet X 85 feet) indoor sheet of ice in Oshkosh! The arena is utilized for recreational skating, figure skating, beginner skate lessons and beginner and advanced hockey programming. Hockey programs include traveling and non-traveling teams. The ice arena programming includes activities tailored to boys and girls, men and women of all skill levels and all ages, starting as young as four years old. Designated time is available for public skates, available to YMCA members, as well as community members. Skate rental is also available. Skate aids are available to help the beginner skater get started. The ice arena includes four designated locker rooms complete with showers and rest room facilities. The arena offers rental opportunities to hockey and figure skating teams, private parties or group outings, social events, field trips and more.

The YMCA ice arena is host to the Oshkosh Youth Hockey Association Warbirds. The Warbirds is a competitive, traveling hockey program with home games and practices at the YMCA.

Businesses can show their support of the YMCA and gain exposure for their business through the Dasher Board Advertising Program (link to DBAP in sponsor opps). Dasher board space is available in the ice arena, as well as the indoor soccer arena.

Indoor Soccer Facility

The YMCA is home to the only indoor soccer facility in the city. The field is artificial turf (similar to a football field) and the area,

180-foot by 80-foot playing surface, is confined by a dasher board system. The soccer arena’s Border Patrol dasher board (rink) system is clear to the floor on the spectator sides to facilitate viewing. The soccer arena is available for year-round programming. Members may utilize the soccer arena for walking, running and stretching when the space is available.

Programming in the soccer arena includes leagues for youth and adults as well as public recreational activities and pick-up soccer times. Programs start for children as young as three years old and span through adults. The indoor soccer arena is available for rental to outside groups for rental.
