Adult Co-ed Rookie Hockey LeagueCo-ed instructional program for beginner or less experienced adults, ages 18 and up. This program includes informal practice and drills followed by a recreational game. Basic skating skills are required. Full equipment is required. Experienced players should not register for this program. Goalies play free!
Adult Hockey LeagueA competitive non-check hockey league geared for the more experienced player. Previous experience required. No checking or slap shots. One game per week. Full equipment required. Goalies play free!
Adult Open HockeyDrop-in style non-checking hockey available for adults 18+. Click on OPEN TIMES & SCHEDULES for listing of avaialbe hours. Schedule subject to change. Cost is $5+tax for members and $7+tax for non-members. Goalies play FREE. Full equipment required.
Hockey Equipment Rental ProgramAt only $5 per session, this is a great way to get started in hockey without the equipment expenses. Helmets with face masks, gloves, shin pads and elbow pads are available. Use our rental skates for FREE and all you need to buy is the stick. The equipment room is located at the end of the bleachers in the ice arena and is open Tues & Fri, 4:30-6pm before the first class of each session. Bring your child along for proper sizing. Made available thanks to the Oshkosh Hockey Boosters.
Huskies Recreational Hockey An in-house, non-traveling, non-checking, instructional program for youth 8-12 with basic skating skills. Players will participate in practice drills and informal controlled scrimmages. The main emphasis is on fun, participation and skill development. Class sessions will focus on basic hockey skills and game situations. Skate rental FREE with this program.
Learn to Skate/Beginning SkateFor ages 4 and up. Program based on the Skate With Us program designed by US Figure Skating. Offers Snowplow Sam 1, 2 and 3, as well as Basic Skate 1-2 skate lessons. Each session includes two half-hour lessons per week. Participants learn the basics of skating by developing balance and confidence.
Open Freestyle Figure SkatingOpen Freestyle time for practice to further develop your skills. No instruction is provided. Runs 4-5:15pm Sundays. Fees apply.

Private Skate LessonsSet up private lessons with a YMCA instructor based on your schedule. Available to all skill levels. Call 230-8449 ext 121 for more details. Single sessions or packages available.
Skate with UsBasic Skills program for all ages and all skill levels. Skill testing will be conducted at the conclusion of each session with advancing individuals eligible to receive a colorful patch. Free skate rentals for program use. Basic skating skills required. Wee Skate lessons recommended before enrollment in Skate With Us.
Warbirds HockeyThe Oshkosh Youth Hockey Association (OYHA) offers a competitive, traveling youth hockey program utilizing the YMCA Ice Arena for practices and home games. Play follows USA Hockey and Wisconsin Amateur Hockey Association (WAHA) guidelines. Warbirds Hockey is open to all children ages 6-17, residing within OYHA boundaries. Each team practices two times per week and games are scheduled on weekends versus East-Central Wisconsin teams of the same age levels.

YMCA Learn to Play Hockey (Mites)Designed as a progression of levels leading into recreational YMCA Hockey. Levels are divided into four components: skating, stick handling, passing and shooting. Participants advance upon completion of skills checklist. Designed for beginners ages 4-10, played in a cross-ice format to enhance skill development and increase participation. Emphasis is on learning! NO previous skating skills required. Session includes two on-ice lessons per week with skills, practice drills and controlled scrimmages. Please refer to the Skills Guide at right for level placement. Skate rentals free for program use.
Youth Open HockeySessions are offered when school is out of session. Open Hockey schedules can be picked up at the Oshkosh YMCA or call for schedule and dates. Youth Open Hockey is a drop-in style pick-up session Children must participate only within their own age groups. Contact the Oshkosh YMCA for more information. Fee is $4 for Members and $6 for Activity Members.
