I accepted my first position in the School Age Department at the Oshkosh Community YMCA in January of 2010, but my Y journey began long before that. When I was young, my family moved to Oshkosh from Milwaukee and my mother enrolled me in Y child care at our Downtown Center.
I spent much of my youth in the after school and camp programs, as well as youth sports. The DTC was a frequent hangout for my brothers and me. I grew up within the Y's walls and knew them all too well when I started my career here. It’s incredible to see how those experiences shaped me and led me to my passion working with youth.
I am so incredibly blessed to have the opportunity to work for an organization that advocates for positive growth and change in the community and makes such a lasting impact on our youth.
The Y is not a gym, it is a community, and I share true belief in our mission and values. I look forward to the memories my family will continue to make as my son grows up within the Y's walls. I am confident he will be surrounded by a supportive, positive and loving community.
